This question may seem odd to you, however, I'm being quite serious in asking it. I was to assure you that in no way is it intended as a joke or intended to be offensive. And I apologize for not finding a better thread to ask my question in.

First off, I am not Jewish, nor do I have any close Jewish friends to ask this.

The health club that I go to has many, many Jewish members. I once commented to the woman at the front desk that I was amazed at how many women seem to spend a great deal of time completely nude in the locker room and the women's sauna. It is not unusual to see some women spend an hour or two straight lounging nude in the sauna and then doing their hair standing nude in front of the mirror, and also having very long conversations standing around the locker room while totally nude.

The lady at the front desk commented that our health club has more nudity in the locker room than most gyms do because of the large group of Jewish members. I did not detect anything in her statement that she intended that to be insulting to Jewish people. I think she was of the opinion that it is the genuine reason. But I haven't seen her since that conversation she and I had. I have intended to ask her why that would be so.

But I do remember having seen the actress Yasmine Bleeth interviewed one time, and in the interview she talked about how much she walked around totally nude in the locker room at her gym, and she followed that up by saying something along the lines of "all of us Jewish women are like nudists in women's locker rooms."

Just curious, is there any accuracy to those statements and if so, why is that.

I myself have no complaints about other women being nude in the locker room, were all women so there's nothing to be embarrassed about in my opinion. And I wish that I myself had that comfort level with my own nudity.

Just curious, that's all.

Thanks!
