Then on Rosh Hashanah, my sister is evacuated because of a nearby fire, and she and her kids end up at shul on the eve of Rosh Hashanah, and I invite her in and so she sits with us, with her three kids.
My husband comes too, and everything goes fine.
I am trying to think if there was anything else that happened. Well, I guess that my mother came to the local Chanukah celebration, calling at the last minute, just in time to drive there in time.
